I have been to Amsterdam a few times in the past but haven't been back since the 90s. What a delight to re-discover this unique city: so clean, architecturally beautiful, friendly, and, apart from the speed the bikes go, so safe! We were there for five days and had the time of our lives, walking, eating, giggling and gigging................
One of my summer highlights is going to the the Three Friday Nights at Goodwood: eating, drinking, racing & raving! After seeing the Rolling Stones gathering absolutely no moss at their gig this year, I am even more determined that I will keep dancing no matter how old I am……….
I don't usually blog about gigs but having witnessed four men in their mid-seventies with a combined age of nearly 300, having the time of their lives on stage, I just had to share this with you as one of the best examples of positive ageing I have seen in a long time......
My main rule was and still is: asking myself if I have worn this item in the last 2 years, does it fit, and do I feel fabulous wearing it? If the answer is no, it gets binned and so an awful lot of clothes went to other homes........
