Glyndebourne
This is something for your bucket list! I think everyone should try and do Glyndebourne just once in their lives. It's part of the English heritage: full evening dress, a picnic in the gorgeous grounds, a bottle of bubbly & Opera.
I have to be honest and admit that neither Dalia nor I really "enjoyed" The Rape of Lucretia: the clue is in the name! But, in true British style, we throughly enjoyed wandering around the gardens, drinking Prosecco, eating our lovely deli from the Very Italian Pizza in Saltdean, & freezing our butts off later in the evening!
I had to put my summer coat on and the clashy, clashy black and white thankfully worked! I can't go to any smart outdoor event here without it now! Dress by Milo's Bali and you may remember the gorgeous coat from my Goodwood post, from Indigo in Chichester.
There were some amazing outfits to photograph but sadly it's not easy to rush around a picnic area interrupting people to snap them, especially after a couple of glasses of Prosecco, wearing heels! Here are just a couple.
Frocks, flowers & freezing, that was our Night at the Opera! At least it wasn't raining & it really is the perfect thing to do if you're here for an English Summer, just make sure to bring a coat!
