Another bargain, another vintage dress!
You know how much I love rooting around at Vintage Fairs and retro shops whenever I can. So it was with absolute pleasure that I forced myself to go around all of Brighton's vintage stores as a recce for a blog coming up, by Sara Delaney of Notes from a Stylist, on shopping retro in Brighton.
I had such a wonderful afternoon shopping and chatting, chatting and shopping but you'll have to wait a bit to see all the bargains I found. However, this 80's dress, has to be one of my all-time favourite outfits ever. And it's such a change from my usual 50s look. It cost me all of £25, from Beyond Retro, and I cannot tell you how many people have stopped me to comment on it and how I've styled it up. Maybe I should wear more 60's & 80's shift style?
The retro Armani shoes, that were gifted to me, certainly help pull the look together along with the vintage sunglasses, handmade necklace from Ghost & Lola in Byron Bay, and, of course, my trademark headscarf.
I hope these photos (thank you Dalia) encourage you to get out there and look in pre-loved, retro, vintage & charity shops for that piece that no one else will be wearing as well as doing your bit for the recycling movement!
Let me know what you think of my favourite "new" outfit and how you feel about buying pre-loved, whether vintage or not. Just love your comments and I always answer!
